The first licensed official airsoft replica of the famous Austrian Glock 17 pistol in the Gen.5 version (5th generation) on the market.
Compared to copies of previous generations, this version has undergone the following changes:
- the size of the magazine shaft has been increased, which provides more convenient and reliable reloading;
- the shape of the pistol grip has been changed: it has become more ergonomic, while the manufacturer has removed the notches for the fingers (typical, in particular, for the models of the previous, 4th generation).
The Umarex Glock 17 Gen.5 CO2 pistol, like the original firearm, has a polymer frame, while the bolt cover, outer barrel and magazine are metal. The breech casing bears the licensed Glock® GmbH mark. In general, the replica is designed and manufactured with extreme attention to detail, and its realism will be appreciated by anyone who has even a little bit of combat "Glocks".
Under the barrel of the pistol, there is a 22 mm RIS / Picatinny rail, which allows you to install additional equipment - for example, a tactical flashlight or a laser designator. The trigger, like the original model, has an automatic safety catch. The handle has a special texture that prevents slipping and contributes to a secure grip, even when wearing gloves.
As befits a replica of this level, the pistol is equipped with a blow-back system, which, with each shot, simulates recoil due to a sharp bolt movement back. Thanks to this, the shooting experience is very similar to shooting from a military weapon. Additional realism is provided by the bolt lag: after the release of the last ball, the bolt is fixed in the rearmost position. A two-way slide stop switch provides the same comfort when shooting with both right and left hands.
Another interesting feature of the 5th generation replica is the ability to customize the hop-up without disassembling the weapon. A suitable adjuster is located at the front, under the barrel.
The scope of delivery includes a magazine for 14 balls for standard 12 gram CO2 canisters.
